I think they were built over a 5 or 6 year period finishing production around 2001. The tubing is quite thin which gives it it's weight saving. The main tubes are 'shaped' for strength but not in the same way as the Master's. The frame has the same lugs as the Master models and this one (for sale) has a chromed Precisa fork. I'm over 200lb and I find the ride to be fantastic - I do notice the light weight of the frame. This it did have very early on but was lifted later on in the Tecnos production period.
The Tecnos was the lightest steel frame Colnago ever produced but many think it had a rider weight restriction on it. The Tecnos is 1cm smaller than you want but I ride a similar (58cm) size to you and I have a 57cm Tecnos that I must confess to loving - I seem to fit on it very nicely. I suppose you've seen the 57cm Tecnos on ebay - 9 hours to go at the time of me writing this response.
Looking for a 58cm ETT and have a preference for the pale blue.
Looking for a Master of some sort with intact Precisa fork in good knick.
